TpT is launching a #TpTGivesBack campaign to support educators and students who lost so much to the California wildfires. For any projects that you donate to from our giving page on DonorsChoose.org, TpT will match donations, up to $10,000, through the end of this year. Due to the wildfires, thousands of students and hundreds of teachers in Butte County, California were displaced from their homes and schools for nearly a month. The wildfires spread through their area destroying homes and sadly took the lives of at least 88 people. Other areas in the state were also affected by devastating wildfires.
This week in northern California, going back to school symbolized the long journey ahead toward a new normal. Teachers are returning to do what they do best and give students a sense of comfort and routine in uncertain and scary times. It’s so wonderful, as teachers, to be able to provide that type of comfort but it’s also an overwhelming task that often goes uncelebrated.
We commend all the teachers who give of themselves and guide their students through these tough times. It is your heart and kindness that make this world better.
Please visit our our giving page on DonorsChoose.org and join #TpTGivesBack. Every little bit helps. Your donation will be matched by TpT, up to $10,000, through December 31, 2018.
Use the hashtag #TpTGivesBack to let your friends know how you’ve contributed and encourage them to take part in TpT’s matching program.
