In a year that’s been unpredictable for so many, we have seen our community of more than 7 million educators adapt and deliver for their students and each other. As teachers rapidly innovate, we’ve worked hard to enhance our marketplace, launch new digital tools, and unlock more funds for educators, so we can provide them with the resources they need — now and into the future.

That’s why we’re proud to welcome James Aylward as TpT’s Chief Product Officer to lead and scale our Product, Design, and User Experience Research teams. The announcement follows several key executive-level appointments earlier this year and expands TpT’s senior leadership team. In this role, James will be responsible for driving TpT’s next phase of product innovation to meet the evolving needs of educators, schools, and students.

“As educators embrace a range of instructional models, TpT has seen record demand for resources and tools from teachers and administrators alike,” said TpT’s CEO Joe Holland. “James will play an instrumental role in executing our vision to meet teachers’ current challenges and identify new ways to support educators and schools as digitally-delivered instruction becomes more commonplace. I’m thrilled to have James on board to help us scale and chart the future course of TpT’s innovation.”

“The combination of teacher-created content with world-class discovery and digital tools holds so much potential for educators and students alike — especially as the pandemic changes many aspects of the way we teach and learn,” said James. “Finding new ways to share the collective wisdom of educators is ultimately how we can support teachers in creating meaningful change.”

James joins TpT from enterprise technology learning platform Pluralsight where he was a Senior Vice President and head of the Learner organization, one of the company’s largest units, overseeing 11 cross-functional teams in charge of learning and assessment experiences. He also served as the Senior Leader for Pluralsight’s Boston office. Prior to Pluralsight, James held a number of senior product roles at major companies including Fidelity Investments, Gazelle, Vistaprint, and Staples.

“Having witnessed the life-changing impact teachers have on students around the world, I’m excited to be a part of the go-to platform teachers rely on to support their students and each other every day,” said James.
