We recently shared this stunning photo of a Jersey Shore summer sunset.

Sunset

Many of you responded with your own spectacular photos. They took my breath away, and it got me thinking a lot. I’m a pretty deep thinker. And a deep listener, too. In fact, I’ve already developed some impressive lines on my forehead from listening so intently to others as they speak. Yes, I’m a habitual forehead scruncher, and I have the lines to prove it. But I’m okay with that. It just means my heart holds a lot of stories from others.

Where was I? Ah yes. Sunsets. When I looked at those incredible snapshots — celebrations of the sun turning in for the evening — I thought to myself how grand, how glorious the sun truly is. And here you are, spread all around the world but also so united by the connections you’ve made — as educators, as TpT’ers, as nurturers, as individuals changing the world. And though thousands and thousands of miles may span between some of you, isn’t it just amazing to think that you — we — are all under the same sun? When morning is breaking in the U.S., evening has fallen in Australia, yet it’s still one sun, a sun that always remembers, never forgets, to rise each morning and set each night.

Here are some of the sunsets you shared. Thank you for capturing the beauty of this earth.
